Through the vision and hard work of brothers Mitch and Tom Potter, their dream of growing a company that makes a difference is unfolding. JMP HOLDINGS LLC was formed in 2004 to consolidate and effectively manage their growing enterprises.
The MISSION: Share and teach their work ethic with a team of committed member employees and expand on their success in coal mining and land development. They make this happen every day by applying their proven skills in project management and efficient operation of heavy equipment by a skilled workforce.

JMP HOLDINGS LLC manages its ventures through three operating divisions detailed in the PORTFOLIO PAGE: coal and construction operations (JMP Coal Holdings LLC), land development (Lake Developers LLC) and recreational motorsport sales (Lexington Motorsports LLC). This privately held company has executive headquarters in Lexington, Kentucky and operation and administration offices in Pikeville, Kentucky.
Coal generated 45% of all electricity in America in 2009. In first quarter 2010 coal generated 48% of America’s electricity. We take pride in responsibly producing coal – a product that is essential to ensuring the American way of life and the sole livelihood for thousands of people in Central Appalachia.
